The most important thing you can do to ensure that your camping or RV trip is the best that it can be is to research wisely and plan ahead!
First, know what type of park will work best for you and your friends and/or family. If you have kids, you might want a park that facilitates safe outdoors play and activities that the whole family can enjoy. If that's not your thing, look into camping parks that are more remote and do not recommend their camp for families with young children. You might also want to search for RV-friendly sites or parks that facilitate a dog or pet.
Be sure to also check a park's proximity to bathrooms (I know we're "roughing it" when we camp, but still...), showers, lakes/rivers and garbage disposals.
Regardless of your preference, do your research in advance and book as far in advance as possible, as many parks book up for summers and popular time periods months in advance.
